هل تحب بلدك؟! نجيب جميعاً بدون تفكير .. نعم بالطبع نحبها؛ لكن كيف تحب شئ لا تعلم عنه الكثير؟ تجهل تفاصيله وحكاياته! ماهو دليلك بأنك تحبها؟ هل تعرف عنها، هل تعرف تاريخها الذي يقدره ويفتخر به من لا يعيش على أرضها، ويأتي لها من آخر البلاد ليرى جمالها التي تجهله وتجهل قيمته بل وليس لديك أدنى فكرة عنه! هل تخيل عقلك يوماً بأنه يوجد على أرض وطنك مكاناً تستطيع منه رؤية ولمس القمر والنيازك والديناصورات المنقرضة من آلاف السنين!!؟ وأنه يمكنك أن ترى الحوت على البر وليس بالبحر هذه المرة! بالطبع لا يصدق عقلك ذلك! لكن ماذا لو أخبرتك بأنه بالفعل يوجد لكنك لا تدرى شئ عن تراث وتاريخ بلدك!
على ضفة النيل بالمعادي بعيداً عن الأضواء متحف يتجاوز عمره ال 100 عام في صمت .. إنه “المتحف الجيولوجي المصري” أو التاريخ المنسي! عند دخولك هذا المتحف تشعر كأنك انتقلت عبر بوابة زمنية للماضي ..! دائمًا ندرس بأنه يوجد أنواع مختلفة من الصخور والمعادن لكن هل سبق ورأيتها؟ هل رأيت الاحجار الكريمة؟ هل رايت الياقوت؟ ألم يقودك فضولك للتعرف مرة من أى أنواع الصخور بنيت أهرامات الجيزة، وكيف صنع ملوك القدماء المصريين تماثيلهم، ومن أين استخرجوا الذهب لصناعة التوابيت! من أحد اقسام المتحف صالة يعرض بها الصخور والمعادن الموجودة على القشرة الأرضية وأبرزهم أحجار المرمر والجرانيت والديوريت المنحوت منه تماثيل الملك خفرع .. هل مستعد للصدمة التى سوف تنتابك عندما تعلم مايوجد بداخل هذا المتحف؟
بالمتحف الجيولوجي عينة من صخور القمر والتي تم أخذها من وادى بالقمر يطلق عليه “تاروس ليترو” وذلك خلال رحلة الفضاء الأمريكية أبوللو 17 .. والنيازك التى سقطت على الكرة الأرضية أبرزهم نيزك بمدينة إثنا بقنا، ونيزك النخلايت بمدينة أبو حمص بالبحيرة، ونيزك جبل كامل بالواحات البحرية .. أتسائل كما تسائل الأديب عبدالرحمن منيف من قبل ..! ماهو الانسان إذا لم يكن له تاريخ وذاكرة؟ كيف يمكننا تناسى وتجاهل كل هذا الجمال! على الرغم من أنه يعد أول متحف جيولوجي في الشرق الاوسط ويوجد مثيله في لندن الذي يتوافد عليه الملايين سنوياً وأيضاً مثيله فى نيويورك الذى كان موضوعا لفيلم سينمائى أنتجته هوليود .. ويكون السؤال هنا لماذا لا ياتى طلاب المدارس ليشاهدوا فيه الكثير مما يحببهم فى العلم؟! هل سمعت عزيزي القارئ عن أكبر ديناصور آكل للحوم البشر، عاش 96 مليون سنة! أو عن أقدم حوت على وجه الأرض .. أو عن ديناصور الفيوم «أرثينوثيرم» أو آكل اللحوم «كانيس» أو السلحفاة “تستودو آمون” أو الفيل الألمانى «إكسيرسورس» ..
يوجد كل هذا وأكثر في صالة الفقريات بالمتحف الجيولوجي. ونستكمل انتقالنا عبر الزمان في صالة الحفريات اللافقارية فستجد ذلك العالم البحرى القديم الساكن بداخل تلك الدواليب الخشبية المغلقة بالزجاج .. التي بها بعض الأصداف البحرية النادرة ،ونجمة البحرالمحنطة، مجموعة رائعة من الشعب المرجانية المختلفة وأكثر .. أتسائل لماذا يواجه هذا المتحف صعوبات عديدة! تبدأ من التجاهل الحكومى لأهمية ما به من مقتنيات، وعدم تخصيص مكان مناسب لها ولماذا الحكومة لم تقم بوضعه ضمن خريطة المتاحف السياحية المهمة بالقاهرة؟! كل مااتمناه أن نتذكر دائما بأن الأمة التي تحفظ تاريخها تحفظ ذاتها .. وفي النهاية هنا تسكن كنوز من باطن الأرض الطيبة، وأخرى من بصمة أبنائها العلماء فى الفضاء، هنا «المتحف الجيولوجى».
Forgotten History BY(Nariman Hamed) A famous writer Jane Fonda says, “I don’t know how a country whose people are ignorant of reality and history can be called a free country!. Do you love your country? We all answer without thinking..yes, of course we like it; But how do you like something you don’t know much about it?! Unaware of its details and stories! What is your evidence that you love her? Do you know about it? Do you know its history ,which it proud by who don’t live in it land?!, those comes from far countries to see how it beauty, you don’t know its value and even you haven’t idea about it! Have you ever imagined that a place on the land can you see and touch the moon, meteorites and extinct dinosaurs for thousands years ago!!? And you can see the whale on land not in the sea this time! Of course your mind can’t believe it! But what if I told you that it does exist, but you don’t know anything about the history of your country
On the bank of the Nile in “Maadi” , far from the lights, A Museum that is over 100 years old It is the “Egyptian Geological Museum” or Forgotten History!, as I call it. When you enter that Museum, you feel as if you have moved through a time to the past..! there are different types of rocks and minerals, We all know that ,but have you ever seen them? Have you seen the gem? Have you seen sapphire? Did your curiosity lead you to know once from which types of rocks the pyramids of Giza were built?!, how the ancient Egyptian kings made their statues?!, and from where they extracted gold to make coffins!. From one of The Museum’s sections, a hall show out the rocks and minerals found on the earth’s crust, the most importantly are alabaster, granite and diorite stones from which the statues of ‘ King Khafraa ‘ are carved. Are you ready for the shock that will come to you when you find out what is inside that Museum? In the Geological Museum, a sample of moon rocks was taken from a valley on the moon called “Taros Litro” during the American space flight Apollo 17 . And the meteorites that fell on the globe, most notably the meteorite in the city of ‘Ithna Qena’ , the Nakhlayet meteorite in the city of ‘Abu Homs’ in Beheria, and the meteorite of Jabal Kamel in the Bahariya Oasis. Recently, I asked the same question that the writer Abdul Rahman Munif asked before..! What is a person if he has no history and memory? How can we forget and ignore all this beauty! Although it is the first geological museum in the Middle East, and there is a similar one in London, which is visited by millions every day ,also in New York , which was the subject of a movie produced by Hollywood.. The question here is why don’t the school ‘s students come to see and teach that greet science?! Have you dear reader heard about the largest cannibal dinosaur, who lived 96 million years?! Or about the oldest whale on Earth?. Or about the Faiyum dinosaur “Arthinotherm”?!. Or the carnivorous “Canis” or the turtle “Tstudo Amon” or the German elephant “Exercours”??”
All this and more can be found in the Vertebrate Hall of The Egyptian Geological Museum. We will continue our trip through time in the invertebrate fossil hall, where you will find that ancient marine world that dwells inside those wooden wheels closed with glass .. which contain some rare seashells, a mummified star of the sea, a wonderful group of different coral reefs. I wonder why this museum has so un lucky and forgotten?!. It starts with the government’s ignoring the importance of its holdings, and not allocating a suitable place for it. why did the government not put it on the map of important tourist museums in Cairo?! All I wish , we always remember “the nation that preserves its history preserves itself “. And in the end here in that place treasures lived from the kind underground, and othersfrom the imprint of its sons, scientists in space, here is the “Geological Museum” in Egypt.
